Our philosophy is to assess your situation, establish your goals, and work with you to create a game plan for success. Our active approach to rehab and training will empower you to reach new heights. Every condition or injury is different and requires treatment specific to your needs. We may use a combination of techniques that include: manual therapy, exercise prescription, Integrated Dry Needling, acupuncture, and other modalities.


Pelvic Physiotherapy

Pelvic health physiotherapy can greatly benefit those preparing for pregnancy, currently pregnant and preparing for birth, in the postpartum period, menopause or post surgery. Additionally, if you're experiencing urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pain with penetration, constipation, low back or hip pain, pelvic health physiotherapy can help.


Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy can improve rehabilitation after surgery or injury and can be used to treat many conditions including: Headaches/Migraines, Frozen Shoulder, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD), Degenerative disc disease (DDD) and disc herniation, Arthritis, Acute / Chronic pain, Whiplash, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Overuse injuries/Tendonitis.

Kristine has been a Registered Massage Therapist since graduating from Fleming College in 2016. Kristine enjoys working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Kristine enjoys working with patients who are ready to make an active change in their life through massage and exercise. Her goal is to get patients back to their favourite activities whether it’s walking their dog or playing in recreational sports. Kristine is passionate about strength training being a competitive powerlifter herself.

She has achieved certifications in Fascial Stretch Therapy, Personal Training and Precision Nutrition.

When Kristine is not in the clinic, you can find her in the gym training for her next powerlifting meet, learning new snowboarding skills or finding her next bubble tea spot!

Elysia was born and raised in Peterborough, ON. She graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Fleming College and has been registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2015. Since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Elysia has worked in a variety of multi-disciplinary settings. She has great interest in treating many different conditions and impairments ranging from chronic pain, various repetitive strain injuries from work or overuse, postural dysfunction, TMJ dysfunction as well as stress relief. She has extensive experience treating individuals of all ages and injury. Elysia uses a variety of techniques based on each individual’s needs and encourages both mobility and movement in her treatment. In her free time, she enjoys participating in various types of exercise including yoga and circuit training. She appreciates spending time with her family and being outdoors when not at work. Elysia has a passion for health and fitness, and even runs a boxing and fitness gym with her husband. Kierstyn is a small-town girl from a Northern Ontario who graduated from a master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in 2021 following her undergraduate degree in Physical and Health Education at Nipissing in 2016. Having played many sports over the years she chose to pursue her passion in helping people move better through life. Outside the clinic she’s quite the outdoorsman, throws down at CrossFit, and has a hike loving dog for a best friend. Achieving big goals is her forte, and helping others do the same is what she thrives for. She aims to empower clients to develop healthy behaviors for long-term benefits with individualized treatments that are evidence based, with a progressive exercise plan and ensures the process is a supportive, fun, movement filled experience. She’s happy to coach you, or your kids, or your grandparents in building resilience for every life encounter.

Emma spent much of her childhood in Peterborough where she was very involved in both dance and gymnastics. She graduated from Western University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and went on to work as a Kinesiologist at a clinic in Ottawa. She acquired a Masters in Physical Therapy from Western University in 2018 and returned to Peterborough after an international placement in Australia. Emma has special interests in strength training, weightlifting, crossfit, gymnastics and movement practices and takes an active approach to rehab treatment plans. Born and raised in Brockville, ON, Jenn completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, graduating from Western University in 2009. She continued her studies at the University of Toronto and graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2013. Jenn has advanced training and experience in manual therapy, acupuncture/dry needling (McMaster University Medical Acupuncture) and pelvic health related concerns (pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, pessary fittings, pregnancy, postpartum and peri/post menopause). Jenn is passionate about furthering her education in order to provide the best and up to date care for each of her patients. Jen grew up in Oakville, ON, and recently moved to the Peterborough area to start a life in the country. Jen has been passionate about rehabilitation since she fractured her leg playing high school rugby. She completed her Honors Bachelor’s of Science, Kinesiology degree from McMaster University, in 2016, and worked as a Rehabilitation Therapist in the Acquired Brain Injury Unit at Hamilton General Hospital. She then completed her Masters of Science, Physical Therapy from Queens University in 2019. Jen is passionate about using up to date evidence-based treatments and focuses on education and exercise-based therapy using a bio-pyscho-social approach. Jen continues to advance her skills in anatomical acupuncture, manual therapy, and Pelvic Health. Connor was born and raised in Peterborough and graduated with a master’s degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2011, after completing his bachelor’s in Kinesiology at McMaster in 2009. In 2014, he teamed up with Adam Summers to open Pulse Physio & Performance - Chemong. They added Jay Martin to the partnership group in 2022 and opened their second location in Peterborough at Pulse Physio & Performance - Lansdowne. Connor enjoys running regular group mentorship sessions with his colleagues, helping to ensure that everyone who comes to Pulse receives the same, high standard of quality care. He has advanced training in sports injuries, headaches, dizziness, persistent pain, and concussion. Outside of the clinic, Connor is excited to continue his role providing athletic coverage as a team physiotherapist for Bobsleigh and Skeleton Canada and the Peterborough Junior A Lakers. Jill moved to Peterborough from Barrie, Ontario in 2006. She completed the Preparatory Health Sciences program at Fleming College before earning an Advanced Diploma in the Massage Therapy program in 2012. Since then, Jill has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist in a variety of settings. She enjoys treating in a clinical environment where she uses a variety of techniques to help her clients recover from injury and feel their best. She is an active mom of 3 who loves swimming, biking and running. She finished 3rd in her age category in the Peterborough Ironman in 2013 and has completed many other triathlon and running races over the years. Brent Miller is a local registered massage therapist, who resides in Peterborough with his wife and two children. He is an alumnus of the Fleming College Massage Therapy program, graduating in 1998. Since graduating, Brent has worked in several multi-disciplinary clinics in both Toronto and Peterborough, before bringing his practice to Pulse Physiotherapy. Brent teaches weekly as the Massage Therapy Technologist at Fleming College in Peterborough and has sat on the board of the Ontario Massage Therapist Association as both a director and Vice-President. Over the years, Brent has treated a variety of cases and patients, taught numerous RMT workshops, and has been the massage therapist for the Peterborough Lakers of Major Series Lacrosse since 2002. Brent integrates a variety of different modalities into his treatments including traditional massage techniques, Active Soft Tissue Manipulation, Dynamic Taping and a variety of stretching techniques. Leah graduated with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (2013) and a Bachelor in Kinesiology at Western University (2011). Leah enjoys assisting on courses with Antony Lo (The Female Athlete) and Teresa Waser (TIIPPSS-FC) to help other physiotherapists understand the importance of returning female athletes to sport after pelvic symptoms and injury. She has advanced training in manual therapy (OrthoDiv Level 1,2,3,4), dry needling (Kinetacore), powerlifting coaching (CAPC), pelvic health related topics such as incontinence (Level 1), pelvic pain (Level 2/3), pessary fittings, pregnancy pain management (Rost) and sexual wellness (Trans-Inclusive🏳️‍🌈, Trauma-Informed, Kink-Aware: Optimizing Sexual Wellness). Adam was born and raised in Scarborough, ON and grew up spending his summers at his family cottage in Coe Hill. He graduated from Western University in 2005 after completing a Bachelor of Health Science. He continued his education at Western to complete a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2007. After graduating, Adam relocated to Peterborough, working as an orthopaedic physiotherapist in a local clinic for seven years, before teaming up with Connor to open Pulse Physiotherapy in 2014. He works with the Junior A Peterborough Lakers as a team physiotherapist and currently volunteers as a trainer for Peterborough Minor Hockey. While working, he continued his education in the areas of acupuncture, soft tissue release and manual therapy. In the fall of 2015, he gained Fellowship status in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT), and in 2021, Adam completed his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) training. Ella completed her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at Ottawa U in 2009 and Master’s in Physical Therapy at UofT in 2011. While in Toronto, Ella worked at a Sports Medicine clinic as well as Holland Bloorview Children’s Rehab Hospital. In 2017, Ella moved to Peterborough with her husband to raise their family. She has advanced training and experience in acupuncture, dry needling, persistent pain, taping techniques, pelvic health related concerns (incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy, peri/post menopause, pessary fittings), and manual therapy. She completed her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2017 and is a Fellow with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Going through two pregnancies and births, Ella has developed a passion for helping women through their pelvic health concerns. Her other passion lies in working with littles ones. She has advanced pediatric training and experience in gross motor development, sports injuries, developmental disorders, infant disorders, cerebral palsy, toe walking, persistent pain, and pediatric pelvic health.
