Catherine completed her diploma of Massage Therapy in 2010 from the Ontario College Of Health and Technology. Prior to that she completed a Kinesiology Degree and a Degree of Health Science. Her passion for athletics and science led her to a Certification as an Athletic Therapist and a Registered Kinesiologist, which led her to work with competitive and professional athletes and teams. She also has experience working with Neuro based clientele. Catherine is focused on treating patients that have survived traumatic injuries, and are working to adapt to changing lifestyles and mobility needs. She enjoys working with all types of clients whether it’s long term maintenance or short term rehabilitation. Sydney grew up in Peterborough, ON and was involved in the Peterborough soccer community. Her passion for soccer and athletics led her to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph, where she played soccer for the Guelph Gryphons varsity team. Sydney continued her education at Queen’s University to complete her Master’s of Physiotherapy in 2022. During her time at Queen’s, she completed one of her clinical placements at Pulse, which solidified her desire to join the team. Before joining Pulse, Sydney worked as a rehabilitation assistant in both the Integrated Stroke Unit and Pulmonary Rehab Unit at the Peterborough Regional Health Center.
Sydney’s current practice uses a combination of manual therapy techniques, education, trigger point dry needling, and tailored exercises. She collaborates with individuals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the primary complaints, prevent re-injury, and enhance performance. In the future, she plans to advance her skills in sports injuries.

Nicholas has always had a passion for athletics! Growing up, he competed in Football, Wrestling, Rugby and Track and Field. In 2012, while in the Fitness and Health Promotions program at Fleming College, Nic competed on the Varsity Rugby team where he was named Co-Captain. After college, he secured a training role at Peterborough’s downtown 24/7 Family Gym. He soon expanded his fitness endeavours as The Head of Varsity Strength and Conditioning at Trent University where he was in charge of overseeing the development of programming, testing and in person coaching for a diverse range of athletes and teams including university level Volleyball, Lacrosse, Rugby, Curling, Soccer and Rowing. Concurrently, Nic founded the Lifestyle & Fitness program at The Canadian Health Recovery Centre, helping individuals break the cycle of use, abuse and trauma through fitness. In 2017, Nic joined forces with Rowing Canada to work with high performance HUB athletes, closely overseeing their development and integrating training programs and expectations from national coaches. Outside of his work, Nic currently competes with the Ontario Weightlifting Association as a member of team Justlift, competing at the provincial level and is currently striving to appear at nationals. Jay grew up in Bowmanville, ON and was very active in sports throughout his
childhood and into adulthood. This interest led him to pursue an honour’s Bachelor’s
degree in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University. He continued his post-secondary
education at the University of Toronto where he obtained a Master’s degree in
Physiotherapy in 2010. Upon graduation, Jay lived and worked in Ottawa in a variety of
orthopaedic settings with a strong focus on manual therapy and a hands-on
approach. These opportunities allowed him to pursue his passion for sport, gaining
experience in working with athletes of all levels, from the common recreational to
professional athlete. Jay and his family moved to Peterborough in 2018, after meeting
with Connor and Adam and realizing their shared passion for Physiotherapy, sports
and active living. Jay has taken extensive coursework in acupuncture, functional dry
needling, functional movement screening, and manual therapy. He completed his
Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2017 and is a Fellow
with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). He continues to
be active within the Physiotherapy community, mentoring current Physiotherapy

Connor was born and raised in Peterborough and graduated with a master’s degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2011, after completing his bachelor’s in Kinesiology at McMaster in 2009. In 2014, he teamed up with Adam Summers to open Pulse Physio & Performance - Chemong. They added Jay Martin to the partnership group in 2022 and opened their second location in Peterborough at Pulse Physio & Performance - Lansdowne. Connor enjoys running regular group mentorship sessions with his colleagues, helping to ensure that everyone who comes to Pulse receives the same, high standard of quality care. He has advanced training in sports injuries, headaches, dizziness, persistent pain, and concussion. Sarah was raised in Owen Sound, Ontario and grew up playing hockey from a young age. Her love for sports and exercise earned her a scholarship to Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, USA. While playing NCAA Division I hockey, Sarah completed two Bachelor of Science degrees in 2018; in Exercise Science and Athletic Training with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. She then went on to complete her degree in physiotherapy at Queen’s University in 2020. She has additional training in sports concussion management and anatomical acupuncture.

Adam was born and raised in Scarborough, ON and grew up spending his summers at his family cottage in Coe Hill. He graduated from Western University in 2005 after completing a Bachelor of Health Science. He continued his education at Western to complete a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2007. After graduating, Adam relocated to Peterborough, working as an orthopaedic physiotherapist in a local clinic for seven years, before teaming up with Connor to open Pulse Physiotherapy in 2014. He works with the Junior A Peterborough Lakers as a team physiotherapist and currently volunteers as a trainer for Peterborough Minor Hockey. While working, he continued his education in the areas of acupuncture, soft tissue release and manual therapy.
